Ehsan Alvandi

Highly experienced in academic teaching, performing Biomedical research, processing and analysing large databases, as well as performing technical roles in industry. With great planning, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, I am professional in bringing ideas into practice and guide multiple projects simultaneously. After submitting my PhD thesis in Colorectal Cancer and Type 2 Diabetes at Western Sydney University (WSU), I started an internship program as a Research Lead aiming to generate Machine Learning approaches to identify Hospital Acquired Complications. I am also performing various academic roles at WSU. I have also worked as a Research Project Co-supervisor, Laboratory Scientist, and Manager for more than eight years supervising more than 50 research projects in Molecular Biology. Additionally, I was the coordinator of a national program on genetic analysis of Medullary Thyroid Cancer, succeeded in generating a national protocol for managing the hereditary cases and their families. In industry, I was a technical supervisor working on establishing a new brand and molecular technique for organ transplantation analysis nationwide. With a great willingness to contribute my knowledge, skills, and experience to overcoming global health challenges, I would love to be engaged with teaching, research, development, and supervision in academic setting or Biotech, MedTech, and HealthTech industry.
