Fiona H Zhou
Graduated from University of Adelaide with a PhD, I have more than 15 years of post-doctoral experience in cell and molecular biology. I have initiated many animal models including bone defect models, and liver disease models (paracetamol induced liver damage, NASH, and ischemia-reperfusion liver injury) and have more than 15 years of experience in handling rodents and performing in vivo studies. In addition, I have extensive experience in biochemistry, calcium imaging and cell culture (particularly in drug testing of prostate cancer cells, AML cell lines and breast cancer cells). I also have more than five years of lab management skills. I have been a casual lecturer and tutor at UniSA from 2014 to 2020. I have supervised 3 PhD students and 6 honors (equivalent) students to completion. I joined the Connie Johnson breast cancer research lab in January 2022. I oversee the daily operations of the lab and lead the research in testing therapies to combat drug resistant ER+ breast cancer using in vitro and in vivo models. Throughout my career I have published 41 peer-reviewed international journal articles and 1663 citations. My career objectives are to strengthen my publication track record and my skills in leadership and project management.
