S M Zahid HOSEN

I am an early-career biomedical researcher in my second-year post-PhD, specialising in pancreatic cancer (PDAC) with expertise in preclinical translational research. My work has advanced the understanding of metastatic phenotypes and immune evasion in PDAC, identifying critical therapeutic targets such as the urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) and HGF/c-Met pathways. My approach to Drug Target Identification is comprehensive, integrating Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, and Clinical data to propel the field of precision medicine and personalised treatment paradigms. Additionally, my expertise in Structure-Based Small Molecule and Vaccine Design and Development has been instrumental in creating groundbreaking diagnostic tools and therapeutic agents. With an h-index of 20 and over 1,222 citations, my high-impact publications and multiple awards reflect the excellence and translational impact of my research. I have successfully secured over AUD 448,739.80 in grant funding as a Chief Investigator and scientific officer. Currently, I am investigating metabolic interactions within the PDAC tumour microenvironment to uncover novel strategies for combating tumour progression and immune evasion, driving innovation in cancer therapeutics.
